Julia Gillard Library Tarneit: Free Kids Holiday Activities
The Julia Gillard Library in Tarneit offers a range of free activities designed to inspire creativity and learning throughout the school holidays. From drop-in craft sessions, drawing workshops, chess and heaps more, there’s something for all ages.
Werribee Open Range Zoo: Safari Adventures
Autumn is a perfect time to visit the Werribee Open Range Zoo! Families can embark on a safari bus tour to observe animals like rhinos, zebras and giraffes roaming the African savannah. Avalon Australian International Airshow

LIT
See Wyndham Park in Werribee City Centre transformed into a dreamlike canvas, with Wyndham City’s FREE light festival LIT! This year’s program will feature giant iridescent bubbles and towering wildflowers, glowing animal sculptures, fantastical trees and more.
LIT is open Thursday to Sunday nights from 27 March – 13 April, with two Sensory Friendly Nights on Wednesday 2 and 9 April.
SWING into Werribee City Centre
From 5 – 11 April, Wyndham City presents SWING—a playful, FREE interactive experience by artist Ian Pidd in Station Place. This giant yellow swing invites you to rediscover your inner child and experience the pure joy of soaring through the air.
Designed for ages 9+ and fully wheelchair accessible, SWING is an experience for everyone, as it’s as fun to watch as to do! There’s even a smaller swing so little ones can join the fun while watching parents and grandparents take flight.
Fabulous Family Festivals
Throughout the holidays Point Cook Town Centre will be buzzing with the Kaleidoscope festival series – free multicultural celebrations for the whole family. Enjoy the Greek Festival on 5 April, Harmony Day on 12 April, 30 March, the Eid Festival on 13 April and an Easter Festival on 19 April 2025.
