Residents of Melbourne’s west have a new reason to celebrate, with the Victorian Government unveiling early designs for a second train station in Tarneit.

Designs for Tarneit’s Second Train Station Revealed

Located near the corner of Davis and Leakes Roads, this new station will feature two platforms, a pedestrian underpass, a four-bay bus interchange, and 400 car parking spaces for commuters. The precinct will include dedicated paths and a landscaped area with seating and secure bike storage for pedestrians and cyclists, making it a hub for connectivity and convenience.

At Harlow Tarneit, we’re fortunate to already enjoy exceptional transport links, with Tarneit Station less than 3km from our community. This new station will be less than 10 minutes away, further enhancing the infrastructure that benefits our residents.

Community consultation is now open, with locals invited to help choose a name for the station. Options under consideration include West Tarneit, Tarneit Rise, Sunray, Davis Creek, and Melaleuca—reflecting local landmarks and the surrounding environment.

This exciting project underscores the ongoing investment in Melbourne’s western suburbs, ensuring current and future residents have access to modern, connected public transport.

Stay tuned as we share updates on the station’s progress and how it will continue to enhance life at Harlow Tarneit. In the meantime, you can have your say here.
